Doraemon

Nobita Nobi's poor decisions in the 20th century have left his descendants in poverty by the 22nd century. To improve their situation, a robotic cat named Doraemon is sent back in time to help guide Nobita. Doraemon, however, is himself flawed and not particularly effective. Despite their many adventures together, it remains unclear whether Doraemon's efforts truly benefit Nobita as intended. The original series consisted of 52 episodes, but most were lost in a fire, with only 21 surviving—two of which lack audio.
