Candies were an idol trio consisting of Ran Ito, Yoshiko Tanaka and Miki Fujimura as Ran, Sue and Miki respectively. The group released ten albums between 1973 and 1977, before retiring with the famous phrase "we want to return to being ordinary girls."
Ran and Sue returned to the industry as actresses, and Miki as a solo singer before retiring to marry. Sue died of breast cancer in April of 2011.
