Minoa Asagaya is a new student at Sakaneko Private High School who has little knowledge of anime. Her classmate Arisu Kamiigusa suggests forming an "anime research club," sparking Minoa's interest. Through discussions with classmate Miko Kouenji and other anime enthusiasts, she becomes more engaged with the genre. The club faces resistance from the student council attempting to shut it down. Meanwhile, the group continues to explore anime-related topics in various locations, including Akihabara, real-life settings inspired by anime, and hot springs. They remain focused on their shared passion despite growing concerns about an approaching apocalyptic event.
