Bakumatsu Rock

During the final years of the Tokugawa shogunate in 19th-century Japan, the government enforces strict control through the mandatory use of "Heaven's Songs" performed by Shinsengumi-affiliated idols. These songs are used as a tool to manipulate the population, and any unauthorized music or lyrics are punishable by death. Against this backdrop, Sakamoto Ryouma and a group of musicians challenge the regime by using rock 'n' roll as a means to fight for freedom and justice.
