Drossel is a Hyperion, a mechanical aristocrat and daughter of Duke von Flügel, who lives in the Tower of Tempest with her butler, Gedächtnis. The tower is cut off from the outside world, and they spend their time handling various issues within the tall castle. They wait for the moment when the stars align again. Humans and Hyperions have been in conflict for a long time on a planet in the distant future.
