Guskou Budori no Denki (2012)

A young man named Guskou lives in the Tohoku forests of northeastern Japan during the 1920s. Droughts and natural disasters push him to abandon his home in search of a better future. He eventually joins a team of scientists at the Ihatov Volcano Department, where they study the same environmental challenges that caused Guskou to leave his village.
