This leads Phoenix to suspect Atmey of being Mask DeMasque, at which point Desirée brings in the stolen urn with Phoenix's fingerprints on it, proving that it was in Atmey's agency. Atmey admits that he is Mask DeMasque and Ron is cleared of the theft charges, but it is then that Godot reveals that the CEO of KB Security, Kane Bullard, has been murdered, with the evidence Phoenix had brought up in trial directly placing Ron as the prime suspect.
