Jouran: THE PRINCESS OF SNOW AND BLOOD

In 1931, Prince Tokugawa Yoshinobu, 94 years old, rules Japan with absolute authority. The city reflects remnants of the Meiji era's culture while embracing modern developments in science and Onmyodo, a form of Japanese esoteric cosmology. A clandestine group known as Kuchinawa seeks to assassinate the prince and overthrow the regime. Nue, a government execution squad, is assigned to eliminate these dissidents. Sawa Yukimura, a member of Nue, was victimized by the Kuchinawa leader as a child, resulting in the murder of her entire family. She has since committed herself to seeking revenge.
