In the late U.C. 0096, the Earth Federation government deploys the Mastema special forces unit to explore a section of the fragmented asteroid Axis within the Earth Sphere. The team includes Mehmet, along with two civilian members: Arlette Almage, a former engineer, and Danton Highleg, a former test pilot. During the investigation, they are attacked by a private military group. As the conflict intensifies, Arlette pursues her own hidden objective by heading toward the wreckage of the Sazabi located on Axis.
