A 1909 Japan-based mystery, this adaptation of Kei Ii's novel features fictionalized portrayals of poet Takuboku Ishikawa and linguist Kyousuke Kindaichi, who were real-life acquaintances. Takuboku operates a private detective agency to support his family. He and Kindaichi become involved in an investigation concerning reported ghost sightings at the Asakusa Junikai, also called the Ryounkai.
