When their sick sister Himari nearly dies, her life is briefly restored through a penguin hat she had requested. This temporary revival requires them to locate the Penguin Drum, which is linked to a series of riddles entwined with their lives. To achieve this, they must untangle connections involving a confusing diary and various individuals with hidden motives. Keeping Himari alive necessitates altering another person's predetermined fate. The narrative explores themes of love, destiny, life, and death, with penguins playing a central role.
