Horace Hennegraf, a married man and renowned painter with a specialty in crime scenes, murders his fellow artist and mistress, Sadie Olivette, in a violent outburst after she threatens to reveal to the world that she did 60% of the drawings he took credit for. Instead of owning up to his mistake, Horace covers his crime in an even more gruesome manner; while across the street at his office, Richard, Rachel, Conan, and Horace's staff all watch Sadie apparently jump to her death.
