Natsufuku No Shoujotachi

In 1945, as the war nears its end, second and third-year students from a Hiroshima girls' school are relocated to work in war factories. The 220 remaining first-year students find themselves as the only teenagers in a nearly empty town, attempting to cope with the hardships of daily life during wartime. Their circumstances are drastically altered on August 7th when an American bomber arrives, marking a turning point in their lives. The series was aired on the 43rd anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing, commemorating the young women who died in the atomic attack.
