Following the events of the first season, the rise in Thanatos and the disappearance of the Aube Hunters have led to widespread destruction in Arcadia. The Religious Organization struggles to combat the growing threat, while public sentiment turns against the Aube Hunters, now seen as responsible for the crisis. Six months after the Hidamari mansion was destroyed, the organization remains absent, and blame for the Thanatos' emergence falls on them. Despite the despair, there is still hope in the potential return of the Queen's Egg, believed to be Arcadia's salvation. Unbeknownst to most, the Aube Hunters have not vanished but have instead been in quiet anticipation, waiting for Angelique to awaken from her prolonged sleep.
