In 2047, an unidentified alien species attacks Earth, annihilating all major cities. Survivors collaborate to construct a device called the Diffusor to combat the invaders, later referred to as the FOS. A brief period of peace follows. By 2053, a final strategy, Plan Zed, is launched to reclaim Earth in a last-ditch offensive. Hiroshi Akishima, a soldier in the Planetary Defense Forces Alliance, seeks revenge against the aliens who killed his father six years earlier. The new operation necessitates deactivating the Diffusor, exposing the planet to renewed danger. Humanity faces a critical decision: reclaim their world or risk total loss in this ultimate endeavor.
