Lina Inverse and Naga the Serpent are eating lunch when a town nearby is attacked by Marlene Culvert and her army of dragons. The conflict arises from Marlene’s disagreement with her father, the king, about her allowance. Lina intervenes to protect the town from the assault, facing off against Marlene, her tetrad knights, and the dragons. However, her usual Dragon Slave spell does not work as expected. Just as she believes the fight is over, the true challenge has only just started.
