Yoshika Miyafuji lives a quiet life after returning to her hometown. With help from Mio Sakamoto and others, she secures a spot at a European medical school. Shizuka Hattori, a former student of Sakamoto, accompanies Yoshika to Europe. As Yoshika settles in, signs of Neuroi activity reappear. Other members of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, who had been separated, start to reunite. Soon after, Yoshika and Shizuka encounter a strong Neuroi.
