Tezuka Osamu no Kyuuyaku Seisho Monogatari: In the Beginning

Tezuka Osamu was asked by the Vatican through the Italian National Broadcasting Network to create an animated adaptation of the Bible, likely to see how a non-Christian artist would portray it. He agreed and worked for two years on a pilot film based on the story of Noah's Ark, personally writing the script and drawing the artwork. Unfortunately, Tezuka died during production, and the project was finished by Director Dezaki, who took over and completed the film.
