To qualify for the Kyoto prefectural tournament, a school holds preliminary rounds to select a representative team. Kitauji High School's brass band, with more than 50 members, faces numerous challenges in this process. Kumiko, the newly appointed club leader, must navigate these difficulties as the school's selection competition begins.
