A boy named Watanuki Kimihiro possesses an unwanted ability to perceive spirits and supernatural beings, causing him frequent distress. One day, while being harassed by such entities, he stumbles upon an unusual house and feels an urge to enter. Inside, he meets a woman named Yuuko, who offers to remove his ability in exchange for his labor at her shop. This shop is known for fulfilling people's wishes, and Watanuki becomes involved in a series of unusual and intriguing experiences as he works there.
