Sakamichi and his teammates from Souhoku are invited to participate in the Kumamoto Hi Province Mountain Range Race as summer ends. This competition brings together elite teams from across the country, such as Hakone Academy, which seeks to defeat Souhoku, along with Kyoto Fushimi, Hiroshima Kureminami, and Kumamoto Daiichi High School, whose team is led by Shin Yoshimoto.
