Hakuouki

This adaptation of a popular otome game presents an alternate telling of Yukimura Chizuru's journey, as interpreted by Ninomiya Sachi. Chizuru travels from Edo to Kyo to find her missing father and encounters the Shinsengumi, a group with a troubling hidden truth. Unlike other versions, the narrative begins with the Ikedaya-jiken event and moves forward while incorporating flashbacks to fill in earlier events.
