A vampire named Terakomari Gandesblood, known as Komari, has spent three years living as a shut-in. She is unexpectedly named a Commander in the Mulnite Imperial Army, only to discover her unit is made up of unruly soldiers who resist authority easily. Despite her noble and powerful vampire lineage, Komari is weak, clumsy, and lacks magical skill due to her refusal to consume blood. Facing significant challenges, she must rely on Vill, her loyal and somewhat smitten maid, to navigate her new role.
