A Japanese college student named Seigi Nakata saves a young British jewelry appraiser, Richard Ranashinha de Vulpian, from a group of drunk attackers. Seigi then hires Richard to evaluate a ring he inherited from his grandmother. As they work together, they begin to uncover hidden messages within the jewelry and the people connected to them.
