Akari, a third-year student, has followed a conventional path through high school until she becomes drawn to Yuki, a reserved classmate with a short haircut who stands out from the norm. Akari finds herself increasingly interested in Yuki, and her emotions begin to shift beyond simple camaraderie. However, Yuki appears to be focused on Rintaro, her childhood friend, who also seems to have feelings for Akari. The situation becomes complicated as Akari struggles to balance her own desires with the expectations placed upon her.
