In Twilight Town, a small settlement, Roxas spends his last summer days with friends Hayner, Pence, and Olette. Unusual events start to unfold, beginning with the group being wrongly blamed for stealing photographs. They then face attacks from strange, white creatures. Meanwhile, Roxas experiences repeated dreams about a boy named Sora and encounters a girl named Naminé, who holds a secret she wants to reveal to him.
