A Hero arrives at the Dark Lady's castle seeking to end the war between demons and humans. He recounts the suffering and deaths caused by the conflict. The demon queen counters that the war has unintentionally united humanity, leading to population growth, economic development, and societal improvement. She warns that ending the war could lead to a more destructive civil war. Convinced by her reasoning, the Hero agrees to assist her plans in pursuit of a more stable peace.
