Akira is a high school freshman with average looks, poor academic performance, and a passion for manga. The only notable aspect of his life is his strong desire to become a police officer, following in the footsteps of his deceased father. His life takes an unexpected turn when he witnesses a confrontation between two individuals with extraordinary abilities on a train. One resembles a student at his school, and after the encounter, Akira is taken against his will by an alien. He is thrust into the complex and sometimes violent dynamics between humans and extraterrestrials. The situation becomes even more complicated when he discovers a hidden truth about his father.
