Ubume no Natsu

A manga adaptation of the first novel in Kyougoku Natsuhiko's Kyougokudou Series. In Tokyo, 1952, a novelist named Sekiguchi Tatsumi becomes fascinated by the strange case of a missing doctor and his wife, who is mysteriously pregnant. He seeks assistance from his former classmate, Chuuzenji Akihiko, a bookstore owner who occasionally performs exorcisms. Akihiko reluctantly agrees to help look into the disappearance. Their investigation leads them into the hidden, troubling history of the family involved—secrets that may also be connected to Sekiguchi's own past.
