Three extraterrestrial agents arrive on Earth to assess whether the planet poses a threat to the universe and should be destroyed using a spherical weapon with antennae, referred to as an anti-proton, solar, or neutron bomb. Initially humanoid, the agents—Captain Bokko, Nokko, and Pukko—assume the forms of a rabbit, a horse, and a duck, respectively, based on Earth animals they had collected. They travel in a high-speed, tire-shaped vehicle named the Big Wheel, which operates on land and water and can be adapted for flight. The series addresses topics such as environmental issues and economic hardship, which were considered forward-thinking for its time.
