With life points dropping and his monsters unable to attack, Jonouchi summons the powerful Gilford the Lightning that proves to be his saving grace. However in response to this, Marik uses Resurrection of the Dead to summon the previously discarded Winged God Dragon of Ra from his graveyard, then transforming it into one of it's 3 forms, Phoenix Mode.
