Tatsuhiro Satou's hikikomori origins are explained. His anxieties lead him to believe that he is a victim of a conspiracy known as the N.H.K., which creates hikikomori via manipulating the media. He is constantly annoyed by hearing the music of an unknown otaku living next door. He meets a mysterious girl called Misaki Nakahara who claims to be able to cure his hikikomori ways.
