Guuzen ka Unmei ka

Ren-chan is plagued by a recurring problem: once the girl he confesses his feelings to starts reciprocating them, he suddenly loses interest in the relationship. His current object of affection is his friend Ari, who agrees to go out with him, expecting the pattern to repeat. However, the outcome remains uncertain. In another story, Mafuyu has long been taking care of Yuna, but this dynamic changes when Yuna meets someone new. Ninomiya Majyu, after being dumped by his girlfriend for attending a concert, accepts an invitation from her new male friend, Kou, only to later question his own intentions. Majmu meets Kou's sister, Mai, who may have feelings for her brother that go beyond sisterly love, causing Majmu emotional turmoil. A separate narrative follows someone recovering from a breakup, who is drawn in by another person's piano playing and passion. A brief continuation of the first story shows Ren-chan and Ari at a fireworks festival, where Ari suddenly disappears.
