Komori's sprain will keep him from catching for a month, so the rest of the team is forced to try and catch Goro's pitches. None of them are able to do so, but Shimizu has enough determination to where she says she will spend all week learning how to do so. This day before the match after their final practice both Toshi and Ryoko Kawase approach Goro. They inform him they won't be in the starting lineup and aren't sure they will be able to play against their greatest rival.
