Komori’s sprain prevents him from catching for a month, forcing the team to attempt receiving Goro’s pitches. No one succeeds, but Shimizu vows to spend the week mastering the skill. Following their final practice, Toshi and Ryoko Kawase inform Goro that they will not be in the starting lineup and may not play against their greatest rival.
