Many consider stories such as [Hoshi no Hitomi no Silhouette](https://anilist.co/manga/56216/) and [Giniro no Harmony](https://anilist.co/manga/91547/) to be her masterpieces. However, she is known for her [Whisper of the Heart](https://anilist.co/manga/35228/) manga, which [Studio Ghibli](https://anilist.co/studio/21/) adapted into [an animated feature](https://anilist.co/anime/585/). Her other work, [Baron, Neko no Danshaku](https://anilist.co/manga/31372/), was also animated by Studio Ghibli and released as [The Cat Returns](https://anilist.co/anime/597/).
