A 16-year-old named Kusanagi GoDo becomes a Campione, or God Slayer, after defeating the God of War in battle. This title forces him into a role where he must confront Heretical Gods that encroach on his territory. The position brings numerous complications, including drawing the attention of a group of overly devoted female followers. Their leader, Erica Brandelli, a skilled swordswoman with a manipulative nature, appears particularly eager to push GoDo toward activities that deviate from his expected duties.
