LOVELESS

Aoyagi Ritsuka, twelve years old, is left alone with his mentally unstable mother after his brother, Seimei, dies unexpectedly. At his new school, he meets Agatsuma Soubi, who says he knew Seimei. Ritsuka later learns that Soubi and Seimei were a fighting pair, with Soubi as the "Fighter" and Seimei as the "Sacrifice." With Seimei gone, Ritsuka now inherits Soubi, who becomes his "Fighter." Discovering that Seimei was killed by an organization called the "Seven Moons," Ritsuka decides to uncover the truth behind his brother's death, aided—though inconsistently—by Soubi.
