Meiken Lassie

A young, lively boy named John discovers a lost puppy among a group of sheep and brings it home, naming it Lassie. The two quickly form a close bond, resembling siblings. The dog becomes beloved in their small English coal-mining town for her intelligence and charm. When a local mine shuts down due to depleted coal, John approaches the mine owner for further investigation, but the owner demands Lassie as payment and sends her to Scotland. Priscilla, the owner’s granddaughter and John’s friend, releases Lassie from her cage. The dog then embarks on a difficult and lengthy journey back to her home.
