Hideki Nishimura is a young man who once confessed to someone he believed was a girl online, only to discover it was a boy. He keeps this embarrassing experience private and resolves not to trust anyone online claiming to be female. Later, a girl online confesses to him, and she is revealed to be Ako Tamaki, a real girl who struggles to distinguish between online interactions and real life. Ako is isolated and has difficulty socializing. Hideki, along with members of his online guild, decides to help her better understand the real world.
