Ribbon no Kishi

A girl is raised as a prince due to the absence of a male heir in her kingdom. Born with a female body and a male mindset, she is raised as a boy, but her identity is threatened by corrupt officials. Disgusted by the cruelty in the kingdom, she takes on a secret identity as the "Princess Knight" and fights for justice with a sword. The animated series is based on a girls' manga and is recognized as the first made-for-TV animated show in Japan specifically targeted at girls.
