In the future, society relies heavily on radio-wave technology linked through a system called the Wave Road. A young student, Subaru Hoshikawa, who lost his father in a space incident, encounters an alien radio-wave entity from a distant FM planet named War-Rock. War-Rock possesses knowledge about Subaru's father, making them a target for other alien entities. To defend against threats from viruses and FMs, Subaru and War-Rock combine to form Rockman, a being capable of moving through the Wave Road and engaging in combat.
