Arima Kousei was a child prodigy known for his piano skills, but after his mother and teacher died, he lost the ability to hear his own playing and stopped performing. Two years later, he lives a dull life, distant from music. His routine is disrupted when he meets Miyazono Kaori, a lively violinist whose unstructured and expressive style contrasts with Kousei’s rigid training. Kaori encourages him to reconnect with music in a more natural and unrestrained way.
