In the year 2003, Japan is a highly advanced society where robots are common. Tobio, a robot created by Dr. Tenma to resemble his deceased son, is rejected when it becomes clear he is not a perfect replica. After being discarded, Tobio is saved by Professor Ochanomizu, who advocates for robot rights. Rechristened Astro Boy, he is tasked with protecting Japan and the world from various dangers. Equipped with seven special abilities and immense strength, Astro Boy aims to demonstrate the positive potential of robots.
