World Is Dancing

A 12-year-old boy grows up in a 14th-century Japanese traveling theater troupe, where he is trained in acting and dance but struggles to understand their purpose. He questions the rules of performance and the meaning behind the movements, finding them arbitrary. A meeting in a dilapidated hut changes his perspective and leads him toward transforming the art form. His journey is a fictionalized portrayal of the early life of Zeami Motokiyo, who would later become the founder of modern Noh theater, a tradition that remains the world's oldest surviving theatrical art. The story highlights his development during a time of cultural and social change in Japan.
