Hebi Shoujo

A story split into three segments follows Yumiko as her mother, recently released from the hospital, behaves oddly and transforms into a creature intent on harming her. Yumiko later travels to the mountains to stay with her cousin, where villagers mistakenly believe she is the dangerous entity. A separate section provides background on Youko, a character connected to Satsuki and Kanna, whose family suffers from a curse linked to an ancestral injury inflicted on a snake spirit. After losing her last relative to a large serpent, Youko is taken in by a woman from a nearby village, raising concerns for her well-being among her friends.
