Risa Amakawa is a high school student who carries supplies for every possible situation, preferring to handle things on her own. She encounters Zen Ohira, a delinquent, when she helps him in a park during a rainstorm. She declines any form of repayment, but her act of kindness draws unwanted attention. Zen repeatedly appears to assist her in various situations, gradually shifting her perspective on depending on others. Her feelings toward Zen also begin to change as a result.
