A sixth-grader named Shiina Tamai discovers a star-shaped being while visiting her grandparents. She becomes friends with it and learns it possesses abilities like flight and superhuman strength. What starts as a pleasant experience turns troubling when she encounters other children who also have these creatures, each with destructive intentions.
