A young merchant named Kraft Lawrence travels rural roads with his carthorse, seeking trade opportunities. His routine changes when he meets a girl resembling a harvest goddess, who has wolf ears and a tail. She identifies as Holo, a Wisewolf from the north, and joins him on his journey. As they move through the countryside following trade trends, they discover a potentially profitable but questionable venture. Lawrence uses his business skills while Holo relies on her instincts to discern truth from deception and pursue financial gain.
