His work has been greatly influenced by contemporary Kanada school animator [Seiya Numata](https://anilist.co/staff/124320/) and [Hironori Tanaka](https://anilist.co/staff/103979/). He debuted as episode director at the age of 21 and as director at the age of 23 with [Arve Rezzle](https://anilist.co/anime/13863/), as part of the Young Animator Training Project. Married to fellow animator [Kikuko Sadakata](https://anilist.co/staff/105769).
